Design a Student-Friendly Moodle Course

Page history last edited by S.Brandt 9 years, 10 months ago

Description: Moodle is a great tool for providing students with links to resources, assignments, quizzes, discussion forums, and more. Unfortunately, it can create "the scroll of death"... a never ending page of links. This session will demonstrate best-practices for designing your Moodle course page with a student-focus. Participants should be familiar with adding resources in Moodle and creating a Google Doc. Time will be given to apply these techniques to your current Moodle course pages.

In this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the advantages and limitations of Moodle.
  2. Efficiently share & link Google Drive resources.
  3. Maximize the organizational tools & features found in Moodle.
  4. Condense a list of links into organized learning units.

To accomplish these objectives, participants will:

  1. Log into NP Moodle: http://moodle.np.k12.mn.us
  2. Click the Staff Development link.
  3. Click the Design a Student-Friendly Moodle Course link.
  4. Enter the enrollment key: staff
