Description: Close reading is based on brain research and best practices in reading comprehension.  This double session will begin with explicit instruction on the instructional strategy (also called Think Alouds).  During the second half of the session, participants will prepare close reading materials to use in their content areas. Participants must bring a consumable copy of several readings that they will be using in their upcoming instruction.
