Making our Interactive Read-Alouds Intentional

Description: Peter Johnston, author of Opening Minds and Choice Words, says our best assessment device is simply asking students to, “Tell more about that.”  What are our purposes for read-alouds?  This session will focus on how we can be more intentional in using read-alouds to draw out student thinking in order to more intentionally inform our instruction and our student learning.
