During the first part of the session, you will observe scientifically researched reading interventions to use with kids who need an extra boost in one or all of the 5 reading components. Did you know that a teacher’s simple tap of a pencil can trigger a child to go back and self correct a reading error? That’s just one of the interventions that will be shared during this session. These interventions have been proven to increase student’s reading scores.

The second part of the session will allow participants the time to ‘make and take’ a few of the interventions for use in their classrooms. It meets the children’s reading licensure renewal requirement.
