Description: It is critical that teachers understand the similarities and differences in RTI implementation between reading and mathematics. This session helps address the immediate need for information on how RTI procedures might be implemented in schools. It will be intended for various groups of teachers and will have an emphasis in seeking practical guidance on how to implement an RTI process for a student who may be struggling in math. Tier 1 instruction is the foundation for all instructional interventions in mathematics, and it should be considered the single most important tier in the intervention pyramid.
