Turning the Classroom Upside Down

Page history last edited by np@mailinator.com 11 years, 3 months ago

Description: In this presentation, teachers will learn about two different methods of using technology in the classroom. Teachers will learn about the flipped classroom technique that incorporates screencasts and educational videos for learning outside the classroom. A simple demonstration of how to use Screencast-O-Matic to make screencasts and to save video clips from popular new sites/educational sites on your computer will be done. You will also learn how to convert YouTube videos to a wmv or flv to save on your computer. The methods provided in this presentation essentially turn the classroom upside down: from listening to lectures at school to listening to them at home and from using lecture in class to supplementing more with video.
* This session meets the "technology integration" licensure renewal requirement.
