Description: Scratch is a programming language developed by MIT to allow students as young as 8 to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art. You can download the program for free from the Scratch website, and there are versions for Windows and Mac. Using Scratch, students can learn; coordinate graphing, problem solving, logical/sequential process, creativity, game design, following directions, and cause/effect. Join your colleagues for this fun and interactive workshop where you'll learn how to integrate Scratch into your elementary classroom. Students from Rick Bell’s 5th grade class will also demonstrate what they have learned from the program.

* This session meets the technology integration licensure renewal requirement.
